This is an unglazed incense holder.
During the Heian period, the Imperial Court held a New Year's event in which a white horse was brought out to ward off evil spirits.
I sincerely hope that this year will be a better one.

It can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as for end-of-year and New Year greetings, or as a souvenir for celebrations such as the first ceremony of the year or the first tea ceremony of the year.
*The lucky sand in the photo is not included.
[Width 4.8cm, Height 7.2cm] *Packed in a wooden box

In order to enjoy elegance, careful consideration is necessary. Please keep the following points in mind when using pottery.

●If pottery has small cracks in the glaze, soaking it in clean water for 2-3 minutes before use will help prevent tea stains and food juices from seeping in. If you will not be using the pottery for a long period of time, be sure to dry it thoroughly before storing it.

●Do not put tableware decorated with gold or silver in the microwave.
●Kouchi glaze (a beautifully colored glaze fired at a low temperature) is commonly used for incense burners and ceremonial vessels, but if it is used for tableware, please be careful not to put acidic foods directly on it as it is vulnerable to acids. This can cause discoloration or fading.
