Earthenware pot, rough clay, Ohonte, Yuki Nanten, 5 inches
Ceramic [Diameter: 17.4cm (excluding handle)] [Height: 17cm]
*It may take up to two weeks to paint the piece.
This small earthenware pot is perfect for cooking hot pot or tofu by yourself.
It's small and doesn't take up much space, so it makes a great gift.
The great thing about earthenware pots is that they continue to simmer and retain their heat even when you stop cooking.
The degree of doneness of each dough varies.
~How to use earthenware pots effectively~
1. Prepare some strong rice water.
2. Wash the inside of the container, being careful not to get the bottom wet, and then place it directly on the gas range.
3. Put plenty of "rinsing water" into the earthenware pot.
4. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes, then reduce to medium heat and when bubbles start to appear, increase to high heat and bring to a boil.
5. After removing from heat, do not suddenly place in a cold or wet place. If possible, leave it as is to cool.
6. If cracks appear on the bottom of the product as you use it, this is not damage and you can continue to use it as is.
7. Donabe is soft and absorbent, so please dry it thoroughly before storing it for the next time you use it.
When placing over a fire, please make sure the bottom is not wet.
If you heat it while the bottom is still wet, it may crack.
After use, be sure to wash only the inside thoroughly. In particular, avoid soaking the pot itself in water for a long period of time.

In order to enjoy elegance, careful consideration is necessary. Please keep the following points in mind when using pottery.
●If pottery has small cracks in the glaze, soaking it in clean water for 2-3 minutes before use will help prevent tea stains and food juices from seeping in. If you will not be using the pottery for a long period of time, be sure to dry it thoroughly before storing it.
●Do not put tableware decorated with gold or silver in the microwave.
●Kouchi glaze (a beautifully colored glaze fired at a low temperature) is commonly used for incense burners and ceremonial vessels, but if it is used for tableware, please be careful not to put acidic foods directly on it as it is vulnerable to acids. This can cause discoloration or fading.
